Today KLCI hit 1300 points. Many ask about highest point in Malaysia??
Let look at historical data: 1997 highest was 1,314 points. 2008 highest was 1,330 points. If you remember, our index has been changed from 100 stocks to 30 stocks. It means there is some adjustment need to be made. 2008 highest was 1330 but based on today adjustement it should be 1,530 instead. Therefore, KLCI highest is 1,530 points. We are not at the highest point at this moment. We believe wolrd recovery would lead us to 1,500 points this year.
